Serving the South Asian Community in Chicago and Globally
Bookstore
We are a bookstore which offers Holy Scripture, books and other media resources in a number of South Asian languages, in addition to English materials. We offer complimentary chai (tea) daily.
Fax/Copy Service/Internet Services
We offer photocopy services at reasonable rates, and fax internationally. We also have computers available for public use, with access to the internet.
English as a Second Language (ESL)
We offer one-on-one English learning. Schedules are determined by student and teacher availability. Come in to the Center and fill out an application form. If you desire to serve as a volunteer teacher, contact Margaret Grenawalt at marggrenawalt@gmail.com.
Tutoring and Homework Center
The South Asian Friendship Center draws from a support base of university-educated tutors to provide help for your student. Come by the Center to fill out an application, because space is limited.

We host a monthly luncheon for women in the community on the final Tuesday of every month, from 12:30-2:00 pm.

Everything from a block party to Diwali celebrations, women’s, children’s and family events – the South Asian Friendship Center has wholesome activities for the entire family. Contact the Bookstore for more information.
